Small town near the Fitzgerald River National Park in the south east.
First settled in 1898 by the Dunn brothers who established a sheepstation.
A museum defines its history.
The area was first settled by the Dunn brothers in 1868, then
drove a herd of sheep from Albany to the area. They and were awarded a land grant
in 1873 and one of thebrothers, James Dunn, discovered gold at Annabel Creek in 1900
resulting in a mini goldrush to the area. Today the area produces wheat and other
cereal crops.
