Small Island off Triabunna on the east coast with a long and interesting penal history.
There are restored ruins of early days when prisoners were isolated here and some of
the buildings have been restored.
There are walking trails through the bush and along the coast and lots of wildlife to
be seen and photographed. Access is only via the water and the island is now a
National Park with convict history. Some
accommodation. Enquiries through Triabunna Information Centre. Ferry from Triabunna or the
Eastcoaster Resort between Orford and Triabunna.
