One of the oldest towns in the state it is a seaside resort offering water activities and exploration of the inland Jarrah Forests. Crayfish and salmon are available in season and several historic buildings. It features the longest wooden jetty in the southern hemisphere - a great fishing spot, The Jetty has been described as Australia's greatest artificial reef and here you can see vividly coloured tropical and sub tropical corals, sponges, fish and invertebrates. The tranquil waters around Busselton provide an aquatic playground for water-skiers, snorkellers and scuba divers. An underwater observatory allows visitors to experience one of Australia's most fascinating artificial reefs.
