Cash crops, dairying and fishing are the main activities around Wynyard,
which is at the mouth of the Inglis River and just a short distance from Table
Cape, one of Tasmania's dominant coastal landmarks. This is a particularly
fertile part of the state, as evidenced in commercial tulip farm and rhododendron
gardens, as well as farmlands.
What to See and Do: Table Cape lookout and lighthouse, Rocky Cape National Park, Fossil Bluff, scenic flights from Wynyard airport, plus commuter flights to King Island and Melbourne. Situated on the Inglis and Flowerdale Rivers.
