Nubeena is the largest town in the Tasman municipality. With beautiful beaches,
outstanding scenery, endless scenic walks and accommodation its no wonder Nubeena is such a
popular place to holiday. Only 11km from Port Arthur, it offers golden beaches, fishing and proximity to the many attractions of the Tasman Peninsula. It is at the centre of a fishing and rural region and has many facilities including a golf course and restaurant. Horse-riding, bushwalking, swimming and tennis are just a few of the activities on offer. Call in to the Lucky Duck Restaurant overlooking the bay and relax watching the boats at rest while you take a break on your visit. There is a small shopping centre with most essential services and you can take the round route from Nubeena to Taranna or Port Arthur, depending which way you are travelling. A short drive north is Premaydena and the turnoff to the Coal Mines historic park in the north west, well worth a visit.
