Why not spoil yourself a little while you are visiting Hobart ? A few kilometres
north of the town, beside the Derwent River, is the Cadbury factory which
was established in Claremont (then a satellite town) in 1921.
The rich aroma of
chocolate greets you as you near the factory through spacious parklands and gardens
and heightens the anticipation as you approach the interpretive centre. See how chocolate is made,
see them being moulded and enjoy tasting raw materials. The Visitor Centre is open
from 8.30am until 3.30pm daily. Sample chocolates and visit the retail shop where special
prices apply and high quality merchandise is available.
Wheelchair access is available and there is plenty of parking.
Enquiries: 1800 627 367.
PLEASE NOTE: Chocolate sales and samples are available to the public through the Interpretive Centre.
Closed: Weekends, and Public Holidays. Phone 1800 627 367 for more information
NB: Factory Tours are temporarily suspended with no date set for re-intruduction.
Check availablity first. The shop remains open and is well worth a visit.
