Map

100 sq Km.
In the south west corner of the Yorke Peninsula, the park is mainly mallee scrubland but features a large variety of things to do. Magnificent coastal scenery with wide sandy beaches encourage surfing, swimming, diving and fishing in the waters of the Southern Ocean. It contains the ruins of a deserted mining township, Inneston; many bush-walking trails, and an abundance of flora and fauna. Fauna includes Southern Pygmy Possums, Mallee Fowl, Emus, Western Grey Kangaroos and small reptiles. September and October see a profusion of native wildflowers in bloom.
The area is popular with surfers and Pondalowie Beach and Chinamans Hat Beach are among the states best surfing beaches. Campers are welcome and several campgrounds will be found within the park, with the main one at Pondalowie Bay, boasting showers and toilets. There is a camping fee of from around $5.00 to $10.00 per night for groups up to 5 depending on where you camp.
