The Adelaide Aquatic Centre is the principal recreation and competition venue for swimmers and divers in Adelaide and is located in the North Parklands off Jeffcott Rd.
Built in the 1980s to meet the increasing demand for a competition venue it has leisure pools and slides, a gymnasium, a dive pool, spa, sauna and steamroom.
Activities include
General Recreation in graded beach pools or shower caves, an octopus and worm sculptures for the kids.
A Creche. There is a morning creche so you can relax and enjoy your time in the pool.
Lap Swimming. There is a 50m. lap pool available for casual use, carnivals and competitions. A moveable boom can create 2 25 metre pools.
Gymnasium. A modern gymnasium is equipped with pin loaded machines, free weights and electronic aerobic equipment.
Swim School. A range of learning and development classes catering for all ages.
Dive Pool. The pool has 1m and 3m platform and springboards and is open to the public from noon to 4 most days.
Membership. Regular visitors can buy membership to all wet areas and personal lockers and changeroom facilities are also available.
