Tropical barrier Reef Island 5km south east of Mission Beach between Townsville and Cairns and one of
the most popular island destinations of the Great Barrier Reef. A national park comprises most of the
island which is 6km long and 2 wide with a resort area set in 12 hectares of lush tropical gardens. The resort offers views of Brammo Bay and offers activities including bush walking, sailing, swimming, snorkelling, horse-riding, golf and archery. Access to the island is by plane from Cairns, by launch from Clump Point or by water taxi from Wongaling Beach or South Mission Beach. Resort accommodation for 350, camping for 30.
