The Washpool National Park is located west of Grafton on the North Coast and 500km north west of Sydney in the New England region of New South Wales.
It was established in 1983 and added to the Australian National Heritage List in 2007, recognising it as part of the Gondwana World Heritage Rainforest areas with the adjacent Gibraltar Range National Park.
There is an entry fee using a self honour envelope system and receipts need to be displayed.
Car-based camping and easy access to walking trails is at Bellbird Campground which has 15 sites, picnic tables, barbecues and toilets, or Coombadfah which has tent sites near a forest creek.with barbecues and accessible toilets. Camping fees apply.
Access to the park is west from Grafton 60km or east from Glen Innes 80km, along the Gwydir Highway (38).
