The park contains the largest exposed granite rock in Australia. 750m long, 500m wide and 200m high. The dome is surrounded by canyons, arches, echo points, and there are plenty of kangaroos.
There are two marked tracks leading to the summit and affording extensive views across the rock and surrounding landscape.
The more gradual climb (3 hrs return) is the Bungoona Walk where flora and fauna can be more closely observed. The trail leads to the summit through impressive granite boulder formations and a visitors book is located at the summit where you can record your success.
Located north of Tenterfield on the Liston Rd, the park is well worth a visit and camping is permitted in designated areas. (Fees apply)
